If the success of football clubs were measured by the results of both their men’s and women’s teams, then who would be at the top? Well it is not a simple calculation, as we all know that men and women’s team can’t play each other. Also, not all club’s have a representation for both men and women. Colligo Football is an experiment to measure a football club’s success were there is representation for both sexes.
The Colligo Football Challenge puts some simple rules around it. To measure the performances, the participating teams must have a team in the PL and WSL. This means that not all teams in their respective leagues are participating and hence the Colligo standings could differ a lot from the PL and WSL actual tables. This is the part of the fun, as a club’s performance could differ immensly from their respective leagues. For example, Liverpool won the 2024/25 PL, but the performance of the women’s team lowers them in the Colligo league table.
