Ornella Vignola scored a debut hat-trick against Liverpool at Anfield which moved the Toffees into second place on the Colligo table. This was the first time a hat-trick had been scored in a Merseyside derby by an Everton player since 1931 (source BBC). Everton’s women’s team boosted splendid results from the men’s side. They sit in second place due to inferior goals scored, but have the same points as leaders Chelsea.

In the WSL, Manchester United and Arsenal had good wins. These victories were against non-Colligo opponents which means the points don’t count. Manchester United played Leicester City. Arsenal faced London City Lionesses.
