The two biggest clubs in English history went at it at Anfield yesterday. Manchester United’s Harry Maguire secured a late header to give United a well earned victory. The result could have gone either way, but this was a day when United looked unrecognizable from previous matches.

United demonstrated a solid structure and took an early lead inside two minutes from a breakaway goal by Bryan Mbueno. Cody Gakpo equalised late on in the 78th minute, but both sides had plenty of chances throughout the game. The win helps United support the immense performances by the ladies, as they move up to 5th place in the Colligo table.

Elsewhere, Erling Haaland helped to keep the pressure on Chelsea by scoring two against Everton, to win 2-0.

Spurs also hold on at the top of the men’s table despite losing 2-1 to Aston Villa.
