Imagine if a football club was measured on its success by the performance of both its men’s and women’s teams. This isn’t a measure of men vs women, but rather a measure of combined performance against other teams in their respective leagues. A bit like the Olympics table where a countries peformance is based on all their athletes.

For example, if Manchester United’s women beat Liverpool, but the men’s team drew, this would mean Manchester United obtained four points opposed to Liverpool’s one point. Get it? 🤔

The Rules

Th Colligo Football Challenge will track progress of the UK’s Premier League (PL) and the Women’s Super League (WSL) and build a league table combining the teams peformances.

Easy? It’s simple 😅.

To measure the performances, the participating teams must have a team in the PL and WSL. This means that not all teams in their respective leagues are participating and hence the Colligo standings could differ a lot from the PL and WSL actual tables. This is part of the fun as those teams not particiapting can still affect the form of the teams in the Colligo Footbal Challenge

Have a look at the 2024/25 standings to get a feel of what is to come forn the new season.

Enjoy 🏐!!
